Tournaments

OUR GOAL

One of our four goals is to deliver a spectacular guest experience every time. We’re fortunate to welcome hundreds of corporate and team socials every month, and we wanted to establish a better way to integrate these groups, truly bringing them together to deliver a unique teambuilding experience.

Many teambuilding activities don’t truly integrate the whole group, more bringing a number of groups into the same space, but not connecting them, allowing them to build relationships and experiences together. With Tournaments, we wanted groups of up to 350 to be absorbed in a high energy, engaging event, where outstanding customer service, guest experience and food and beverages would be combined to create a peerless experience.

With a Tournament at Flight Club or Electric Shuffle, the goal was for guests to be competitive with their teams or individuals, seeing who’s winning (and losing), providing the opportunity to interact and play with all colleagues, delivering a truly unique product to the market.

HOW DID WE DO IT?

Observing hundreds of group bookings, the team monitored gameplay experiences, duration and key moments when it would work best to bring new groups together and move them seamlessly between playspaces to allow cross team competitiveness and equal play time for our guests. Testing each format, working with the venue teams and our expert gamesmasters to bring this to life, combining both innovative technology with exceptional service proved quite the challenge!

Our team needed to deliver a product that helped our venue staff to seamlessly manage these events through technology. Using state of the art messaging our software is able to schedule these events and create seamless transitions around the different playspaces. This allows our gamemasters to have total control of the event through the gamemaster tablet, whilst the customers enjoy competing across multiple playspaces.

Tournaments first launched in Flight Club in Summer 2018, followed by Electric Shuffle in Winter 2022.

As companies are being tasked to be more accountable with their socials, and not ‘just’ having a few drinks in the pub, Tournaments provides a unique teambuilding experience for hundreds of guests, bringing them together for a memorable, industry leading occasion.
